Philine Guckelberger

Post-doctoral Fellow

Philine is a molecular biologist fascinated by 3D genome architecture and epigenomic regulation. During her PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, she developed high-throughput assays to show how cohesin-mediated 3D contacts shape enhancer–promoter communication and uncovered a role for the chromatin remodeler HELLS in maintaining DNA methylation. As a FutureHouse Postdoctoral Fellow, she will apply AI-powered tools to explore enhancer-driven gene regulation across different spatial scales and its impact on evolution, development, and disease.
