Sarah Gurev

Post-doctoral Fellow

Sarah is a machine learning researcher specializing in protein design and virology. During her PhD at MIT, she developed machine learning models to forecast viral evolution and design future-proof vaccines for SARS-CoV-2, bird flu, and other understudied pandemic threats. Her interests are in understanding viral-host interactions at scale, with the ultimate goal of enhancing pandemic preparedness and predicting spillover events before they occur.
